Parklife Festival is returning to Heaton Park in Manchester for its 13th year, and it promises to be an exciting weekend for music fans. Getting to Heaton Park is easy, with several travel options available. The park is about five miles north of Manchester city center, and walking there takes around 50 minutes. There will be two main public entry and exit gates: the West Gate on Bury Old Road and the East Gate on Sheepfoot Lane. Shuttle buses operated by Transport for Greater Manchester will run from Aytoun Street in the city center, starting at 10:30 on Saturday and 11:30 on Sunday. The bus journey takes about 30 minutes, and return buses will run from 18:30 until the site is clear. Alternatively, you can take the Metrolink tram from Victoria station, which runs every 7. 5 minutes and takes about 15 minutes to reach Heaton Park. The tram stop near the West entry gate will close at 21:00, after which you should use the Bowker Vale stop for your return journey.

To use the shuttle bus or tram, you’ll need a Parklife Travel Pass, which allows unlimited travel on all bus and tram services in Greater Manchester, including the direct Parklife shuttle and Metrolink services. Buying your travel pass in advance will help you avoid long queues. If you’re driving, you can use park and ride sites along the Bury tram line, where you can park for free and take the tram to the festival. Taxis and private-hire vehicles can drop off or pick up passengers about one kilometer from the park, as the roads around Heaton Park will be closed to public traffic for safety reasons at the end of each day.
