Dance Beats & Caribbean Vibes Light Up Lincoln Castle Next June!

Lincoln Castle is set to host some big music stars next summer, with Pete Tong and Billy Ocean announced as headline acts for the Live at Lincoln Castle event. Pete Tong, a world-famous DJ known for his Ibiza Classics show, will perform with The Essential Orchestra on 12 June 2026. Billy Ocean, the legendary R&B singer behind hits like Caribbean Queen and Red Light Spells Danger, will take the stage on 20 June. He will be joined by Marti Pellow, the former lead singer of Wet Wet Wet, as a special guest. The concerts will be held in the historic setting of Lincoln Castle, which adds a unique atmosphere to the performances. Mark Harrison, a promoter from Cuffe & Taylor, said these nights will feature iconic songs and dance anthems, all set against the beautiful backdrop of the castle.

Billy Ocean, who was born in Trinidad and raised in London, has sold over 30 million records worldwide. His most famous songs include Love Really Hurts Without You, When The Going Gets Tough, The Tough Get Going, and Loverboy. Marti Pellow is known for hits like Sweet Little Mystery and Goodnight Girl, and he has also starred in major theater productions in London and on Broadway. Another big name, David Gray, will headline a concert at Lincoln Castle on 28 June, supported by The Divine Comedy. Gray's album White Ladder sold more than three million copies in the UK. These concerts are part of a partnership between Lincolnshire County Council and Live Nation promoters Cuffe & Taylor, aiming to bring top artists to perform in this historic venue.

Pete Tong has been a major figure in dance music for over 30 years, bringing his sound to audiences around the world. He received the Music Industry Trusts Award in 2021 for his contributions to music and broadcasting. Last year, Lincoln Castle hosted other big acts like Sting, Sugababes, and Olly Murs, drawing large crowds to the impressive stage set up next to the castle's ancient walls. Councillor Natalie Oliver, who oversees culture for Lincolnshire County Council, said this year's lineup keeps getting better and promises something special for every music fan.
