New signs found of giant gas planet in 'Earth's neighbourhood'

Scientists have discovered strong evidence of a giant gas planet in the star system Alpha Centauri, which is the closest star system to our own. This planet is about four and a half light years away from Earth, making it a close neighbor in the vastness of space. The planet itself is not like Earth, but more similar to the gas giants in our solar system, such as Jupiter and Saturn. It is surrounded by thick clouds of gas, which means it cannot support life as we know it.
