From Anxious to Empowered: Katie's Virgin Island Confidence Boost

Katie Hudson, a 23-year-old nanny from Peterborough, decided to take a big step in her life by joining the reality TV show Virgin Island. The show, which airs on Channel 4, brings together twelve people for an 'intimacy retreat' on an island off the coast of Croatia. The participants take part in workshops led by sex therapists, exploring topics like body image, anxiety, and past trauma. Katie was inspired to apply for the show after watching its first episode in 2025, feeling that many of the issues discussed resonated with her own experiences.

At first, Katie was very anxious about sharing her personal journey on television. She described her anxiety as being 'through the roof' when she arrived on the island.
