Radio 1 Brings the Big Weekend Buzz to Sunderland's Streets!

Radio 1’s Breakfast Show, hosted by Greg James, was broadcast live from Sunderland as the city prepares to host the Big Weekend music festival. The Big Weekend is Radio 1’s biggest music event of the year, and it takes place in a different city each time. This year, Sunderland will host the festival at Herrington Park from May 22 to May 24. The last time Sunderland hosted the Big Weekend was in 2005, when artists like Gwen Stefani, Foo Fighters, and The Black Eyed Peas performed.
