Benz Hui, a well-known actor in Hong Kong, has passed away at the age of 76. He was famous for being the 'King of Supporting Actors,' a title he earned over his long career that lasted more than fifty years. Hui died in a Hong Kong hospital after suffering from cancer, as reported by local news. Even though he was not always the main star in movies or TV shows, his face was familiar to many viewers across Asia. He appeared in over 200 productions, making him one of the most recognized supporting actors in the region.

Hui Shiu-hung, which was Benz Hui's real name, was known for playing a variety of roles. He often acted as a tough police officer or a gangster, but he could also be the funny uncle or the loyal friend. One of his most memorable roles was 'Chung Sir,' a police superintendent in the 2002 film 'Love Undercover. ' In another movie, he played a triad boss, and fans started calling him 'Brother Foon-hei' after his character. Hui's nickname 'Benz' came from the Mercedes Benz car he drove to work, and he eventually adopted it as his stage name.

Hui's career spanned the golden age of Hong Kong entertainment, especially during the 1970s to 1990s when TVB shows were extremely popular throughout Southeast and East Asia.
