Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, Pat Finn made guest appearances on several popular shows, including The King of Queens, That '70s Show, House, and Friends. On Friends, he played Dr. Roger, Monica Geller's boyfriend, in two episodes.

Pat Finn was perhaps best known for his role as Bill Norwood on The Middle, where he appeared across eight seasons from 2011 to 2018. He also acted in movies such as It's Complicated and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups. In addition to his work on screen, Pat Finn was an improv performer and a member of the group Beer Shark Mice.
