The original F4 band was formed around the same time as the Taiwanese series, but they disbanded in 2009. They reunited once in 2013 for a special performance, but fans have been hoping for another reunion ever since.

At the recent concert, F4 joined the popular rock band Mayday on stage. Mayday's frontman, Ashin, said it took years to arrange for all four F4 members to come together again.
