Suggs and Madness Ready to Rock Brighton Beach with Fun-Filled Shows!

Suggs, the lead singer of the well-known British band Madness, is looking forward to performing on Brighton beach this summer. Born in Hastings, East Sussex, Suggs has fond memories of spending time by the seaside, both as a child and later in life. He says that performing on stage is still a lot of fun for him, even after all these years. Brighton holds a special place in his heart because, as he explains, it was the main place people from London would visit during school holidays. Suggs is excited about the two nights Madness will play on the beach in July, and he expects them to be great fun.

Over the years, Madness has gained fans of all ages, including many younger people. Suggs was surprised by how popular the band became with kids and teenagers. Because some of their younger fans were too young to attend concerts at night, Madness started doing matinee shows in the afternoon. Suggs remembers seeing groups of energetic 12 to 15-year-olds at their concerts, which made the shows even more lively.

Madness is also famous for their creative and entertaining music videos. When music channels like MTV became popular, the band would meet in cafes to come up with the wildest ideas for their videos. They often wore colorful costumes and did funny things on camera. Suggs jokes that the band stopped making videos for a while because they ran out of new ideas for costumes. Recently, Suggs has been involved in other local music projects, such as writing a song for Whitstable Town to celebrate their football victory. He describes these moments as happy times. The demand to see Madness in Brighton was so high that the band added a second show. Suggs and the rest of Madness are looking forward to performing for their fans and making more great memories together.
