Spain Slaps Airbnb with £56M Fine Over Sneaky Unlicensed Rentals

The reason for this large fine is that Airbnb was advertising properties that did not have the proper licenses required for short-term rentals. The Spanish Consumer Affairs Ministry has stated that the fine cannot be appealed, but Airbnb has announced its intention to challenge the decision in court.
