Olivia Dean Shines Bright, Sweeping Big Wins at 2026 Mobo Awards!

Olivia Dean, a talented singer from London, has continued her impressive rise in the music industry by winning three major awards at the Mobo Awards, which were held in Manchester for the first time. Dressed in a sparkling black dress, Olivia took to the stage to accept her silver trophy and expressed how proud she was to be a black British female artist. She won the best female act award, the highly sought-after album of the year for her soulful record The Art of Loving, and song of the year for her popular track Man I Need. In her speech, Olivia dedicated her album of the year award to author bell hooks and all the black feminists who inspire her to love more deeply and care for the people in her life.

During the ceremony, Olivia also performed her song A Couple Minutes, delivering a soulful and moving performance that was praised by the audience. The Mobo Awards, which celebrate black talent in music and the arts, marked their 30th anniversary this year. The event was filled with memorable moments, including hip-hop legend Slick Rick receiving a lifetime achievement award and performing with Estelle. Raye's creative video for Where Is My Husband! won video of the year, while Central Cee added another trophy to his collection by winning best hip hop act. Ayra Starr defended her title as best international act, and Flo, a rising R&B group, celebrated their win for best R&B/Soul act. The Mobos also recognized achievements outside of music, with Stephen Graham winning best performance in a TV show or film and Niko Omilana being named best media personality. The night was a celebration of black excellence and creativity, highlighting the impact of black artists in the UK and beyond.
