Gallagher believes that strong relationships with funders and the support of audiences are key to the festival's success. He encourages people to buy tickets and participate at any level they can, emphasizing that the festival is 'here to stay. ' This year, the festival will use new venues, such as the Odeon at Glasgow Quay, to reach more people across the city. Special screenings will take place in unique locations, like the Glasgow University Union's dining hall and the Pyramid community centre in Anderston.

Films like Welcome to G-Town, a science fiction story set in Glasgow, and The Fall of Sir Douglas Weatherford, a dark comedy starring Peter Mullan, show the city's creative side.
