Ed Sheeran to exhibit paintings created in car park

Ed Sheeran, the world-famous singer-songwriter, is now showing a different side of his creativity by exhibiting his own paintings. Ed began painting in 2019, after finishing his Divide Tour. Growing up in Suffolk, Ed was always surrounded by art because both of his parents worked in the art world. He enjoyed art classes at school and kept his interest alive even as he became a music star. Last year, while he was back in the UK between concerts, Ed found a unique place to paint: an unused car park in London. He would run there every morning, spend time painting, and then head home, repeating this routine until he had to leave for his next tour dates.

At first, Ed created these paintings just for his friends and family. However, after showing them to artist Damien Hirst and Joe Hage, the founder of the Heni Gallery, they encouraged him to share his work with the public. This led to his first art exhibition, called 'Cosmic Carpark Paintings,' which is being held at the Heni Gallery in Soho, London. The exhibition features Ed's splash painting style, with many works inspired by stars and space. The show is open to everyone for free, and no appointment is needed. The paintings are also for sale, and all the money raised will go to The Ed Sheeran Foundation, which supports music education and opportunities for young people from all backgrounds.

Ed explained that painting has become a creative outlet for him, especially when he is not making music. He finds it relaxing and a good way to express himself. The exhibition will run until August 1, giving fans and art lovers plenty of time to visit. In addition to his art show, Ed will be performing three sold-out concerts in his hometown of Ipswich this weekend.
