He also pointed to the risks associated with TikTok's hyper-targeting capabilities and China's data laws. Johnson referenced Elon Musk's recent changes to algorithms on his platform, X, as a cautionary tale, noting that political posts received more views than traditional campaign ads. He concluded by stating, 'We have very real and very recent experience in America with a social media network tweaking its algorithms to favor certain voices.
