Cambridge Folk Festival Makes a Joyful Comeback with Star-Studded Lineup

After a year away, the Cambridge Folk Festival has made its return, though in a scaled-down format. The festival, which is usually a four-day event, is now taking place over just two days at Cherry Hinton Hall. About 4,000 people are expected to attend, and tickets sold out quickly in May. Mark Radcliffe expressed his happiness about the festival's return and said he and David were honored to play on Sunday. Melody Cole performed in a white dress and hat, playing guitar, while two men accompanied her on ukulele and violin. Christina Alden and Alex Patterson, a folk duo from Norwich, are also performing. Christina said she was thrilled to see the festival return, as it has always been a place to see favorite musicians from around the world. Amelia Coburn, another singer-songwriter, said she was pleased the festival was back. Lara Gisborne, from Cambridge, said it was a real honor to play at the festival for the first time, thanks to an invitation from The Bridge group, a local songwriting collective.
