Apple readies new iPads and M3 MacBook air to combat sales slump
Apple, a multinational technology company, is strategizing to counteract a decrease in Mac and iPad sales. They are developing several new models and upgrades, set to be released early next year. This information comes from sources who wish to remain anonymous as the products have not been officially announced.
The plan includes updating the iPad Air, iPad Pro, and MacBook Air. The new iPad Air will be available in two sizes for the first time, and the Pro model will be equipped with OLED screens, known for their vibrant display. The MacBook Air will feature a faster M3 processor. Mac and iPad sales account for 15 per cent of Apple's total revenue, and they have been significantly affected by a decrease in consumer tech spending.
The decline in iPad sales has been exacerbated by a lack of new models. The year 2023 will be the first in the product's history when no new versions were released. Mac sales have also suffered due to a broader pullback in computer purchases following a surge in pandemic spending. Apple is banking on the new models to stimulate demand next year.
