Inside the Fun and Frenzy of Interior Design Masters with Sophie and Ben!

Interior Design Masters is a popular BBC One show where contestants compete to show off their interior design skills. This season, two of the contestants are Sophie from Stoke-on-Trent and Ben from Kinver in Staffordshire. Both of them shared their experiences about being on the show, describing it as both stressful and fun. Sophie, who has long red hair and a bold sense of style, calls herself a 'rock & roll maximalist. ' She loves using bright colors and mixing different patterns in her designs. Ben, on the other hand, builds outdoor furniture for a living and describes his style as 'antique, historical, quirky. ' He is also a fan of Queen Elizabeth II and likes to add a touch of history to his work.

When they first started filming, both Sophie and Ben found it a bit overwhelming. There were cameras everywhere, and they weren't sure where to look or how to act. Ben said, 'At the start it's quite intimidating because there's loads of cameras pointing at you and you're just like, oh, where am I supposed to look. ' However, as the days went by, they got used to the cameras and filming became part of their daily routine. Ben said he was probably the most relaxed person on the show, even though there were moments when things got stressful. He joined the show mainly to get his name out there and help his business grow. 'I was very laid back, but obviously it does get stressful. I had a great time and I enjoyed every moment of it,' he said.

Sophie explained that the hardest part was having to create something new every week within a set time and budget. She said, 'It is stressful but it's the most fun I've ever had. ' She and the other contestants talked about what happened on the show with their closest friends and family, but it was hard to keep everything a secret until the show aired. Sophie said she had already watched the first episode and thought it was really good and funny. She also talked about how nice Alan Carr, the presenter, was. 'Exactly what you see on TV is exactly how he is. He's just a delight,' she said. Alan Carr would visit them while they were working, and his visits always made everyone feel better. Sophie and Ben are both excited for people to watch the show and see all the hard work they put into their designs. Interior Design Masters airs on BBC One on Tuesday evenings.
