How One Mum's Support Sparked an Oscar Dream Come True

Wunmi Mosaku is a talented actress who grew up in Manchester, England. Wunmi feels very grateful for the support she received from her mother, her siblings, her husband, and her daughter. She believes she could not have achieved her success without them. Wunmi also has fond memories of being part of the Manchester Girls Choir from age seven to eighteen. She loved singing with the other girls and remembers those times as some of her happiest moments.

Wunmi's hard work and her family's support have paid off. She played the role of Annie, a Hoodoo priestess, in the movie Sinners. Her performance was so impressive that she was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress at the 98th Academy Awards. She has also been nominated for other awards, including the Actor Awards. Wunmi says that being recognized for her work feels amazing, especially because she and her team put so much effort into making the film.
