Guatemalan forces arrive in Haiti to fight gangs

Recently, Guatemalan soldiers have arrived in Haiti to assist in restoring order in a country that has been struggling with gang violence. A total of 150 soldiers landed at Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti. The first group of 75 soldiers arrived on Friday, followed by another group of 75 on Saturday. In 2021, the assassination of the Haitian president by unidentified gunmen further plunged the country into chaos.
