From TikTok Kitchen Star to LA Recording Sensation: Erin's Wildfire Journey

Erin Rose, a teenager from Frome in Somerset, has had an incredible journey from singing in her kitchen to recording music in Los Angeles. Erin grew up in a family that loved music, but she was always too shy to sing in front of others. She would sing at home, especially while doing chores like washing the dishes. Her mother, Kris, wanted to help Erin gain confidence, so she secretly recorded Erin singing Shallow by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper and posted the video on TikTok. Kris thought only friends and family would see it, but the video quickly went viral. It received over 57,000 views, more than 5,000 likes, and hundreds of positive comments.

Among the people who saw the video were record producers from Universal Music Group in Los Angeles. They were impressed by Erin's talent and reached out to her family. At first, Erin and her family were skeptical and thought it might be too good to be true. But after confirming the invitation was real, they traveled to Los Angeles in October 2024. Erin recorded her debut song, Not Cute, and returned the following year to record two more songs, including Wildfire, which was released in January. Erin described recording music in Los Angeles as the experience of a lifetime. She said it was scary at first, especially since she worried about what her friends at school would think, but everyone has been supportive and encouraged her to believe in herself.

Since her success, Erin's confidence has grown. She has started taking singing lessons, posted more song covers online, and performed in local musical theatre shows and gigs. Her parents are extremely proud of her and remember her singing from a very young age. Even though Erin is enjoying her music journey, she still plans to pursue a career in medicine and is studying biology, chemistry, and drama at Frome College. She says she never expected to have a career in music, but she is open to whatever the future holds. Her family supports her choices and is happy to see her following her dreams. Erin's story is a reminder that sometimes unexpected opportunities can lead to amazing experiences.
