Marilyn Manson sexual assault investigation dropped by lawyers

The investigation into Marilyn Manson, the well-known rock musician, has been officially closed by California prosecutors. This decision comes after a lengthy inquiry into serious allegations of sexual assault and domestic violence that have been made against him. On Friday, the prosecutors announced that the claims against Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, were too old to pursue legally. They stated, 'We cannot prove charges of sexual assault beyond a reasonable doubt. ' Four women had filed lawsuits against Manson, accusing him of various forms of abuse, including rape and bodily harm. Throughout this process, Manson has consistently denied these allegations, labeling them as 'falsehoods. ' His attorney, Howard King, expressed satisfaction with the decision to drop the investigation, emphasizing that Manson has always maintained his innocence. The women who brought forth these allegations include Ashley Morgan Smithline, a model, Esmé Bianco, an actress known for her role in Game of Thrones, and Ashley Walters, who was Manson's personal assistant. The fourth woman has chosen to remain anonymous. Nathan J Hochman, a representative from the Los Angeles County district attorney's office, acknowledged the bravery of the women who came forward, stating, 'We recognise and applaud the courage and resilience of the women who came forward to make reports and share their experiences. ' He also expressed gratitude for their cooperation during the investigation. The inquiry began in 2021 and focused on incidents that allegedly occurred between 2009 and 2011 in West Hollywood, where Manson resided. In total, more than a dozen women have accused the rock star of various forms of misconduct, including his former fiancée, Evan Rachel Wood. Smithline, who filed her lawsuit most recently, claimed in court documents that Manson had made repeated threats against her life, stating he would 'find her' and 'kill her if she left him. ' This testimony was echoed by Walters, who described Manson as a frightening and abusive boss, allowing his friends to touch her inappropriately and forcing her to work for 48 hours straight without rest. Following these allegations, Manson has faced significant professional consequences, losing his record label, booking agent, and manager. In an Instagram post from February 2021, Manson stated, 'Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality.
