Reg Presley’s UFO-Inspired Pub Mural Lights Up Wiltshire

A new mural has been created in a Wiltshire pub to honor Reg Presley, the lead singer of The Troggs, who was famous for songs like 'Wild Thing' and 'Love Is All Around. ' The mural, painted by artist Paul Boswell, shows Presley in a black suit decorated with crop circles. Behind him, you can see the Alton Barnes White Horse and a UFO in the sky. Boswell used spray paint and acrylics to make the mural stand out. He said he was inspired by the bold pinstriped suits that The Troggs used to wear, but he changed the stripes into crop circles to show Presley's interest in the mysterious.

Reg Presley was a regular visitor at The Barge Inn near Pewsey in Wiltshire. He often went there in the 1990s to research UFOs and crop circles, which were found in the nearby fields. Presley became interested in the paranormal after seeing a large crop circle in Alton Barnes in 1990. He even wrote a book about his discoveries called 'Wild Things They Don't Tell Us,' which was published in 2002. The Barge Inn became a popular place for people who wanted to talk about UFOs and crop circles, and Presley was known for joining these conversations.

When the mural was revealed, Presley's family and fans were invited to the pub to celebrate. His wife, Brenda Ball, said the mural was a wonderful surprise and a lovely way to remember Reg. The pub's owner, Alistair Sinclair, said he was delighted to have the mural in his pub. Boswell, the artist, said the event was touching and that he felt Reg deserved to be remembered in this way. Presley's family said he was always interested in strange and wonderful things and enjoyed meeting people who shared his curiosity. Even though he was famous, he was known for being down-to-earth and friendly. The mural is a tribute to both his music and his love of mysteries.
