In recent years, more people have become interested in these advanced health checks, even though they can be expensive. Companies like Prenuvo, Ezra, and Neko Health have raised a lot of money to offer these services, and some people are willing to pay hundreds or thousands of pounds for a scan. Ruth chose Neko Health, which costs £299 and has a waiting list of 100,000 people. The scan checks for a range of conditions, including skin cancer, heart disease, diabetes, eye problems, and blood disorders. Ruth did not have any symptoms, but she was curious to see if the scan would find anything unexpected. Some experts believe these scans are the future of healthcare because they can catch problems early, but others worry that they might lead to unnecessary tests and anxiety for healthy people.

Ruth spoke to two women who had very different experiences with the scans. Annabel went for a scan because she was concerned about a mark on her back, but the technology did not flag it as dangerous.
