Ex-Guns N' Roses Drummer Rocks Southampton with New UK Band Debut!

Frank Ferrer, who was the drummer for the legendary rock band Guns N' Roses for 19 years, has started a new chapter in his music career. After leaving Guns N' Roses in 2025, Frank decided to join a new UK-based rock band. The band does not have a name yet, but their first performance took place at The Brook, a popular music venue in Southampton. Frank joined the group after a conversation with Hampshire guitarist Brett Smith-Daniels. Brett reached out to Frank after getting his number from Matt Sorum, another former Guns N' Roses drummer. Brett was looking for advice, but after talking for about an hour, he and Frank decided to work together and form a new band.

The debut show was the first time all five members played together on stage. Along with Frank and Brett, the band includes Russell Marsden, Chris Payn, and Stefan Bielik. The performance was a big deal for Southampton, and venue promoter Paul Williams said that having musicians of Frank's level play in the city helps put Southampton 'more on the map.
