Noodles, steak, ‘mind-blowing’ pasta: where a food influencer eats in Hong Kong

Yuki Maryrose Leung, a Hong Kong native, is a food influencer who shares her culinary experiences. Her mother, a confinement nurse, has a knack for cooking a variety of traditional dishes, which Yuki grew up enjoying. Sun Kee Cart Noodles is her preferred lunch spot, where she relishes their well-marinated ingredients and homemade chilli paste. She also frequents Samsen and Zagin Soba, known for their exceptional Wagyu boat noodles and tori paitan ramen respectively. For dinner, Uncle Fong’s is her go-to place, where she savours their Chongqing spicy hotpot, a rich, buttery broth filled with chillies, spices, and Sichuan numbing peppers. Testina, an Italian restaurant, is another favourite, offering an extensive menu of various meats. For late-night cravings, she opts for True Gourmet Taste and Block 18 Doggie’s Noodle, known for their deep-fried snacks and unique doggie noodles. When hosting visitors, she recommends Lin Heung Kui and Sun Kwai Heung for their char siu dim sum. For dinner, they usually visit Kui Kee Seafood Restaurant or As You Like, if they prefer spicy chicken pot. Yuki is a steak enthusiast, with Rex Wine & Grill being her top choice. She also enjoys Carbone for their spicy vodka rigatoni and steak Diane. Yuki's food adventures also extend beyond Hong Kong. She would travel to Hanoi for Bun Cha Dac Kim's cold rice noodle, Singapore for Bak Kee Teochew Satay Bee Hoon’s satay sauce, and Bangkok for Toy Kuay Teow Reua's boat noodles.
