Models like the Lamborghini Urus and Mercedes-Benz G Wagon are now seen as symbols of success and style, taking the place of convertibles.

Because fewer people are buying convertibles, car companies are making fewer of them. Building a convertible is expensive, and there are many safety rules to follow. Most of the convertibles left on the market are luxury models, which means they are expensive. There are still a few affordable options, like the Mazda MX-5 and Fiat 500, but not many. Some car lovers still prefer convertibles because they offer a unique driving experience. They say it feels like freedom and reminds them of riding a motorcycle. In the past, convertibles have made comebacks after losing popularity, so some people hope they will return again. With new electric convertibles being made, especially by Chinese companies, there is a chance that convertibles could become popular once more. For now, though, they are a rare sight on UK roads.
