Bahram Beyzai was a legendary figure in Iranian cinema and theater, and his passing at the age of 87 has led to many tributes from people in Iran and around the world. Born into a family of poets, Beyzai grew up surrounded by Persian culture and traditions. He first became famous as a playwright, using stories from Persian legends and rituals to create powerful plays. Beyzai lived through a time of great change in Iran. The country was ruled by the Shah, but after the revolution in 1979, a new Islamic government took over. In 2010, Beyzai left Iran and moved to the United States, where he continued to teach and share Iranian culture. His wife, Mozhdeh Shamsai, said that he always felt a deep connection to Iran, and just hearing the name of his country would bring tears to his eyes. Beyzai's death is seen as a great loss for Iranian art and culture, and many people are remembering him as a brave and creative artist who never gave up on his beliefs.
