Ozzy Osbourne Exhibit Rocks On: Extended Due to Fan Frenzy!
The exhibition celebrating Ozzy Osbourne, called 'Ozzy Osbourne: Working Class Hero,' has been extended again due to overwhelming public interest. Originally opening at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery on June 25, the exhibition was first set to close in January. However, because so many people wanted to visit, it will now remain open until September 27, 2026. This extension is possible thanks to the ongoing support of the Osbourne family and the museum. The exhibition is free, making it accessible to everyone who wants to learn more about Ozzy's life and career.
The display was created in partnership with Central BID Birmingham and highlights some of Ozzy Osbourne's most prestigious achievements. Visitors can see his Grammy Awards, his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honors, and a collection of his platinum and gold discs. There are also many photographs and videos that show different moments from his long career. The exhibition opened just before Black Sabbath, the band Ozzy led, played their farewell concert at Villa Park in July. The museum is also home to the official book of condolence, where fans left messages after Ozzy's death.
A special tribute wall was unveiled on December 3, which would have been Ozzy's 77th birthday. This wall features 77 messages chosen from over 50,000 tributes left by fans. Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy's wife, attended the exhibition's launch along with the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Zafar Iqbal. Sam Watson, chair of Central BID Birmingham, said they are proud to have brought the exhibition to the museum and grateful to Sharon and her family for allowing the extension. He said the demand to see the exhibition has been phenomenal and that it gives fans from the UK and around the world a chance to celebrate Ozzy's extraordinary life and achievements. Sharon Osbourne also expressed her pride in the exhibition and happiness that more fans will have the opportunity to visit. The exhibition continues to attract visitors and remains a significant cultural event in Birmingham.
