We must think how to stop ‘the tragedy’ of war in Ukraine, Russia’s Putin tells G20

Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke to the leaders of the Group of Twenty (G20) and mentioned that it's important to figure out a way to end the war in Ukraine. He called the situation a tragedy and said that Russia is willing to have peace talks with Ukraine. The conflict began when Putin decided to send troops to Ukraine in February 2022, causing the deadliest conflict in Europe since World War II.

The war in Ukraine has caused a lot of suffering. Thousands have died or been hurt, and many people have had to leave their homes.
