Camp Bestival 2026: Castle Crowds, Epic Acts, and Festival Fun Galore!

Camp Bestival returned to Lulworth Castle in Dorset this year, and it was a record-breaking event. Organizers confirmed that the festival had its biggest opening day ever, with thousands of families and music fans packing into the castle grounds. The festival was filled with excitement, sunshine, and a wide variety of performances and activities for people of all ages. The castle provided a stunning backdrop for the festival, making it a memorable experience for everyone who attended.

Friday night was a highlight, with Self Esteem headlining the Castle Stage. She wore all white and sang with a big smile, ending her set with a Shirley Bassey-inspired conga line that swept the crowd off their feet. Billy Ocean also performed, bringing his classic hits to the stage and getting everyone singing along. Saturday saw Bastille return to performing after a two-year break, topping the bill and thrilling their fans. Away from the main stage, Radio 2's Sara Cox recorded a live podcast in the Library Tent, sharing stories and engaging with festivalgoers.

The festival offered much more than just music. Joe Wicks led a Wake Up & Workout session on the Castle Stage, encouraging people to stay fit and active. Traditional Morris dancers brought a touch of folk nostalgia, performing in colorful outfits and flower-adorned hats. Toploader played to an afternoon crowd in the sunshine, while Example, a dance music star, leaped into the air during his performance, energizing the audience. Families enjoyed fairground rides, explored tents and merchandise stands, and soaked up the festive atmosphere. Camp Bestival was a celebration of music, dance, and community, creating lasting memories for everyone who attended.
