More than 10 lawsuits expected against Diddy in coming days, lawyer says

Sean 'Diddy' Combs, a well-known rapper and music mogul, is facing a significant amount of legal trouble. According to Tony Buzbee, a lawyer who represents many individuals who have accused Diddy of misconduct, more than 10 new civil lawsuits are expected to be filed against him in the near future. This announcement comes as Buzbee has already filed a new case in New York on behalf of an unnamed male who claims he was assaulted by Diddy back in 2015. The lawsuit details that the accuser, who was 23 years old at the time, was performing at an event that Diddy attended, hoping to impress him and secure a record deal with Bad Boy Records, Diddy's famous label. The accuser alleges that he was drugged at an afterparty and subsequently assaulted by Diddy. A representative for Diddy has not responded to these allegations, but the rapper has strongly denied all claims of drugging, assaulting, and raping individuals. Additionally, Diddy is currently facing federal charges related to a racketeering and sex trafficking scheme, to which he has pleaded not guilty. Mr. Buzbee, who operates out of Texas, has been instrumental in several cases against Diddy over the past year, including one that also implicated another famous rapper, Jay-Z. Jay-Z has denied any involvement in the allegations. Buzbee has indicated that he plans to file more than 10 lawsuits within the next week, as a deadline approaches on March 1 in New York. This deadline marks the last day of a law that allows victims of past sexual assault to file civil lawsuits, even if the statute of limitations has expired. The new lawsuit refers back to an incident in 2015 when the plaintiff had the chance to perform at a nightclub in Los Angeles, where Diddy was present. The lawsuit states that an associate of Diddy informed the accuser that the rapper had heard about his talent and would be watching his performance. The accuser was told that if he performed well, Diddy might be interested in discussing a potential deal with Bad Boy Records, which has been a successful label since its founding in 1993. After what the plaintiff believed to be a stellar performance, he was invited to an afterparty that featured numerous bottles of Diddy's vodka, Ciroc, along with various substances such as marijuana, cocaine, and ecstasy. The lawsuit claims that an associate of Diddy handed the accuser a drink, stating it was from Diddy. After consuming the drink, the plaintiff quickly felt lightheaded and realized he had been drugged. He then lost consciousness. The lawsuit alleges that while he was in and out of consciousness, he witnessed Diddy and his entourage engaging in sexual activities with individuals who appeared to be either drugged, unconscious, or possibly paid escorts. The accuser claims that he woke up to find himself being assaulted by Diddy. When he attempted to leave, the lawsuit states that Diddy's security intervened, and the rapper allegedly threatened to ruin his career opportunities. Diddy is currently facing over 30 civil lawsuits that allege sexual assault and misconduct. He is also in a New York jail awaiting a federal criminal trial concerning sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
