In East Yorkshire, a woman from Beverley is preparing to sell a large collection of designer fashion items from her wardrobe, and she could earn up to forty thousand pounds. Instead of the usual way of clearing out clothes by donating them to charity shops, she has chosen to auction her luxury items. The auction will take place on Friday and will feature about twenty designer bags, as well as shoes, scarves, sunglasses, and other high-end accessories. The collection includes pieces from famous designers such as Chanel and Gucci, and the guide prices suggest the total could reach tens of thousands of pounds.

Coralie Thomson, an auctioneer from David Duggleby, described the event as a stunning luxury fashion auction. She explained that ninety percent of the items have never been worn because the owner, who has an even larger collection at home, simply never got around to using them. One of the highlights of the auction is a Chanel 19 medium flap bag, which was the last bag designed by Karl Lagerfeld before he passed away in 2019. This cream-colored lambskin handbag, complete with a gold Chanel logo and chain, is expected to sell for between three thousand five hundred and five thousand pounds. It is considered one of the most desirable bags in the fashion world.

In addition to the Chanel bag, there are two Louis Vuitton handbags that could each fetch between one thousand and two thousand pounds. All the items are available for viewing at the auction house in York before the online sale. The auction has attracted a lot of attention, and Thomson described it as a unique event. She said it was a brilliant auction to work on and that she loved seeing the skill and artistry of some of the greatest fashion designers. The sale is expected to draw many bidders who are eager to own a piece of luxury fashion history.
