Madfabulous: Welsh Aristocrat Film Shines with Six Bafta Cymru Nods!

The Bafta Cymru awards are a big event in Wales that celebrates the best in film and television. This year, the feature film Madfabulous is leading the nominations with six in total. Madfabulous tells the story of Henry Paget, a very unique and eccentric aristocrat from the 19th century. Callum Scott Howells, who is known for his role in It's a Sin, plays Henry Paget. In the movie, he wears bright and unusual outfits, like a pink suit with a large navy blue bow tie and a pink top hat. The film stands out because it tells a story about someone who was very different from others in his time.

The Bafta Cymru awards have 17 categories, which means there are many chances for actors, directors, and other people who work in film and TV to be recognized. Some of the other shows and movies that got a lot of nominations include a drama series and a crime thriller. Eve Myles, a well-known actress, has received her 10th nomination, while Gabrielle Creevy and Matthew Rhys have also been nominated several times. Directors like Euros Lyn and Gareth Bryn are also being recognized for their work. There are also first-time nominees, such as Buddug Povey, Sian Reese-Williams, Tom Cullen, Sian Eleri, Claire Oakley, and Lisa Baker.
