The murals are funded by the community, with residents donating money through crowdfunding and local businesses giving materials. Neville Johnny, who owns a DIY shop, often donates paint for the murals. He remembers when the high street was run down and not a place people wanted to visit. Now, thanks to the art and the efforts of the community, Deptford has become a place where people want to spend time, meet friends, and enjoy the lively atmosphere.
