Zara Larsson & Louis Tomlinson Rock Radio 1's Big Weekend Day Two!

Zara Larsson and Louis Tomlinson are set to headline the second day of BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend, which will take place in Sunderland this year. Zara Larsson, a Swedish pop star who first became famous in 2016 with her hit song Lush Life, is known for her energetic performances and colorful stage outfits. She has continued to make popular music, including her recent track Midnight Sun, and has been performing around the world. Louis Tomlinson, who was once a member of the popular boy band One Direction, is also making waves with his solo career. His third album recently reached number one, and he is fitting the Big Weekend into his busy tour schedule across Europe and North America.

The festival will be held at Herrington Country Park from Friday, May 22 to Sunday, May 24. Alongside Zara Larsson and Louis Tomlinson, other artists like Lola Young, who recently won a Grammy Award, will perform on the main stage. The Saturday line-up also includes Nothing But Thieves, Skye Newman, Ellie Goulding, James Blake, Mitski, and Rachel Chinouriri. The first day of the festival will focus on dance music, with DJs Fatboy Slim and Sonny Fodera headlining. Fatboy Slim is a well-known name in the UK music scene, famous for his crowd-pleasing hits like Praise You and Right Here, Right Now.

This is the first time since 2005 that Sunderland will host Radio 1's Big Weekend. That year, the line-up featured stars like Gwen Stefani, Foo Fighters, and the Black Eyed Peas. This year, the festival is expected to attract tens of thousands of fans, with around 100 acts performing over three days. Tickets for Saturday and Sunday will go on sale soon, costing £44. 50 per day for general admission and £106. 00 for VIP access. Local residents will have priority when tickets are released. Each person can buy up to two tickets per day, but they can only attend Friday and one weekend day, not both Saturday and Sunday. This rule is meant to give more people a chance to attend. The headliners for Sunday will be announced on the Radio 1 Breakfast Show.

Radio 1's Big Weekend is known for bringing big music events to cities that do not usually host them. Last year, the festival was held in Liverpool, where about 100,000 fans attended. The event was nicknamed 'Scouse Coachella' and featured performances by Tom Grennan, Sam Fender, Mumford & Sons, and a surprise appearance by Ed Sheeran. In previous years, the festival has traveled to places like Norwich, Swansea, Exeter, Dundee, and Londonderry, with stars such as Taylor Swift, Stormzy, The 1975, and Bruno Mars performing. The festival is a highlight for music fans, offering a chance to see top artists in different parts of the UK each year.
