These rare tracks were recorded during that time, and now they are being collected in a new album called 'David Bowie: The Shel Talmy Recordings. ' The album is being described as the most complete set of songs from Bowie's early days, all produced by Shel Talmy. Talmy was a well-known producer who also worked with famous bands like The Kinks and The Who. Some of the musicians who played on these tracks include Jimmy Page, who would later start Led Zeppelin, and Nicky Hopkins, a pianist who played with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

One of the new songs, 'I Want Your Love,' has already been released on streaming services so fans can listen to it before the full album comes out on September 18. Other songs that will be included are 'Cupid,' 'Leave Her to Me,' 'You Gotta Tell Her,' 'Certain Woman,' 'Today,' 'I Live in Dreams,' and 'I Do Believe I Love You. ' Some songs from this period, like 'Can't Help Thinking About Me' and 'Do Anything You Say,' have been released before, but most of the tracks on this album are new to listeners. The album also features songs called 'You've Got A Habit Of Leaving' and 'Baby Loves That Way. '

He believes these early recordings are an important part of Bowie's musical journey and deserve to be recognized. Shel Talmy, who produced these early tracks, was famous for his work with other big bands and met Bowie in London's Denmark Street, which was the center of the British music scene at the time. Talmy first signed Bowie and his band, the Manish Boys, but Bowie soon moved on to form Davie Jones & The Lower Third. Most of the songs on the new album were recorded with this band or as solo demos. In 1966, Bowie changed his name to avoid confusion with another singer named Davy Jones from The Monkees. He became famous in 1969 with the song 'Space Oddity' and later created his Ziggy Stardust character, becoming a legend in the music world. These newly released tracks give fans a chance to hear the beginnings of Bowie's incredible career.
