Bob Vylan's Glastonbury Chant Clears Police, Sparks Global Speak-Up Call!

The punk duo Bob Vylan, based in London, recently made headlines after their performance at the Glastonbury Festival in June 2025. During their set on the West Holts Stage, frontman Bobby Vylan led the audience in a chant that criticized the Israel Defence Forces. Avon and Somerset Police began an investigation to determine if any criminal laws had been broken during the performance.

After months of reviewing evidence, interviewing the band, and speaking with around 200 members of the public, the police concluded that the case did not meet the criminal threshold for prosecution. They consulted legal experts and the Crown Prosecution Service before making their decision. The police stated that there was not enough evidence to realistically expect a conviction, so no further action would be taken against Bob Vylan.

The band responded to the news by expressing relief and hope. Bob Vylan has faced many challenges since the performance, including cancelled shows and revoked visas, which forced them to cancel a US tour.
