Artist 'humiliated' after giant mural unveiling cancelled

Johnny Hamilton, an artist who goes by the name Jossiepops, is feeling very embarrassed after the unveiling of his latest mural at Belfast's Grand Central Station was suddenly cancelled. The mural, which is believed to be a portrait of the famous musician Van Morrison, has been hanging in the station for almost a month, but it is still covered up with a black cloth and a big pink question mark. Johnny was hired to create this mural for a special product launch, and he spent two months working on it. He used more than 15 tins of paint and had to change the design twice before it was finished. The mural is so large that it took six people to move it into place.

Johnny was very excited about the project and shared updates on social media, teasing his followers about who the mural might be of. His posts got more than 200,000 views, and many people were looking forward to the big reveal. The BBC even planned to film the unveiling. But just before the event, Johnny was told that the unveiling would not happen, and he was not given a reason. The company that asked for the mural, believed to be Exile Productions, did not respond to questions from the BBC. Translink, the company that runs the station, said they only provided the space and were not responsible for the decision.

Johnny said that although he was paid for his work, he feels let down because he wanted the public to see his art and know that he created it. He said, 'This is not only disappointing, it's humiliating. ' He explained that the project was about more than just money; it was about sharing his creativity and building trust with the public. Johnny cannot reveal who the mural is of because he signed a non-disclosure agreement. He hopes that one day the mural will be uncovered and people will be able to see his work as he intended. For now, the mural remains a mystery, hidden behind a pink question mark, and Johnny wants everyone to know that he stands by his work and hopes it will be shown soon.
