Peaky Blinders creator plans to open studio in LA

Steven Knight, the talented creator of the acclaimed television series Peaky Blinders, has recently announced his plans to establish a new studio in Los Angeles, California. This studio, named Digbeth Loc Studios, aims to promote and highlight the incredible work of filmmakers from the Midlands, the region where the show originated. As production for the Peaky Blinders film is set to commence at various locations throughout the West Midlands, Knight expressed his excitement about the ambitious projects ahead. He stated, 'We’re gearing up for big productions, because we believe that we have to be very ambitious and I think that we're going to make it. ' This statement reflects his determination to create outstanding films that resonate with audiences. Speaking from Los Angeles, Knight shared his vision for the Digbeth Loc Studio, saying, 'I’m going to open a Digbeth Loc Studio here where people can go and look at what we're doing. ' This initiative will allow people in LA to experience the creative process behind the Peaky Blinders film, as they will have the opportunity to view pictures, videos, and other materials showcasing the production. The upcoming film will follow the infamous Shelby family as they navigate the challenges of World War Two. Knight mentioned, 'We will be shooting at Digbeth Loc and we found some unbelievably good locations around Birmingham and West Midlands. ' This is exciting news for fans of the series, as it promises to deliver a captivating continuation of the story. In addition to the studio, Knight has also launched a four-week training program designed for individuals aspiring to pursue a career in the film industry. This initiative, known as the Kudos Knight Scripted Production Training program, has taken place in Birmingham and has successfully graduated thirteen trainees aged between 18 and 38. One of the graduates, Tannaz Razpoush, expressed her gratitude for the experience, stating, 'We got to be professionals and act like we had been doing this role for more than 100 years while the truth is we didn't know anything about this prior to the course. ' She emphasized the newfound confidence she gained and her readiness to contribute to the industry. Another graduate, Nigel Chapwania, highlighted the challenges faced by many talented individuals in the area, noting that a lack of opportunities often leads them to abandon their dreams. He remarked, 'There was so much talent in the area, but many stories were left untold as people often gave up on their dreams due to lack of opportunity. ' Knight also underscored the importance of diversity within the film industry, stating, 'It’s really important that we make sure that this is an industry that employs the people of the city.
