South Killingholme Parish Council is set to host a meeting to discuss the proposed plans for a £3 billion AI data centre. The development is planned to be constructed near the A160 Habrough Roundabout in Immingham. The meeting, scheduled for 19:00 BST at the community centre, will be attended by representatives from North Lincolnshire Council and developer Greystoke Land. The proposed project includes three large data centre buildings, a horticultural glass house, and office space. Known as the Humber Tech Park, the development has the potential to create 370 full-time jobs in the area, with additional employment opportunities during the construction phase. Additionally, the plan features a horticultural glasshouse up to 33ft (10m) high, which will utilize excess heat from the data centre for heating. The three buildings are designed to have a combined capacity of 384MW of IT load, positioning it as one of the largest data centres in Europe.
