Muller dairy protesters ordered to do unpaid work

Chan was sentenced to 240 hours of unpaid work and a fine of £1,500, while Pattison was ordered to complete 220 hours of unpaid work and pay a fine of £1,200. Both were found guilty of conspiracy to commit criminal damage, with Chan also convicted of possessing an article with the intent to destroy or damage property. Pattison was found guilty of intentionally or recklessly causing a public nuisance. In addition to Chan and Pattison, five other defendants received community service orders ranging from 120 to 240 hours for their roles in the protests. The protests aimed to raise awareness about the benefits of plant-based diets and to encourage support for farmers who grow plant-based foods. The activists believe that reducing meat and dairy consumption can have positive effects on the environment and public health.
