McFly and Rick Astley Set to Rock Lincoln Castle This Summer!

Lincoln Castle is set to host some major music events next year, with pop-rock band McFly and singer Rick Astley announced as headliners. McFly, known for their energetic performances and catchy songs, will take the stage on 14 June. The band consists of Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter, and Harry Judd. They are recognized for their short brown hair and unique styles, including tattoos, yellow-tinted glasses, black dungarees, and a black vest with a car design. Councillor Natalie Oliver, who is responsible for culture at Lincolnshire County Council, expressed excitement about the upcoming concerts. She said that McFly and Rick Astley are two of the most charismatic performers in music over the past forty years, and their presence will make the Live at Lincoln Castle event truly special. McFly has achieved impressive success, with seven number one singles, seven top 10 albums, and over 10 million records sold. Their most popular songs include All About You, Five Colours in Her Hair, and Don't Stop Me Now. The concerts are part of a partnership between Lincolnshire County Council and Live Nation promoters Cuffe & Taylor, aiming to bring top artists to the historic castle venue.

In addition to McFly and Rick Astley, the lineup for next year includes Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Deacon Blue, Tom Grennan, Billy Ocean, DJ Pete Tong, and David Gray. The British pop and ska band Madness will also return after their previous sold-out performance in 2024. Tickets for these events will go on general sale at 10:00 GMT on Friday. The announcement has generated excitement among music fans in Lincoln and beyond, as the castle prepares to welcome a diverse range of artists and bands.
