Moscow warns West after Ukraine told it can hit Russia with Western weapons

The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has intensified following the decision by Western allies, such as the US and Germany, to permit Ukraine to utilize Western-supplied weapons to target locations within Russia. This move has sparked outrage from Russia, with Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov accusing Nato countries, particularly the US and several European nations, of intentionally instigating Ukraine to prolong the war. Russian forces have achieved progress in the Kharkiv region, near the Russian border, following an unexpected offensive. The UK and France had also indicated their readiness to relax restrictions on Ukraine's targeting of military sites on Russian soil. However, the US has affirmed that its policy prohibiting the use of certain long-range strikes inside Russia remains unchanged. Despite the tensions, Nato Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg expressed approval of the decision to ease restrictions on Ukraine's weapon usage during a meeting of Nato foreign ministers in Prague.
