Mark and Kathryn Cargill, a couple from Oversley Green near Alcester, had a unique experience when their home was chosen as a filming location for the show. Their house was used for both inside and outside shots in the first episode, where the main characters discover a body. Mark, who is an engineer, was especially curious to see how everything worked behind the scenes. He described how funny it was to hear the director calling for more fake blood during filming, and how the family dog ended up licking some of it.

The Cargills were impressed by how professional the film crew was. They moved all the furniture in and out and made sure everything was put back in place.
