Teenage busker competes on The Voice Kids

Joshua Blake, a 15-year-old boy from Trowbridge in Wiltshire, is making waves as he prepares to compete in the semi-finals of The Voice Kids. His journey began when he was busking, or singing on the streets, in Munich. During a recent performance at Bath's Christmas market, Joshua earned an impressive £110 in just half an hour, which made him realize how much he enjoyed performing. He shared, 'I thought, I like this. ' His father encouraged him to try busking while they were on holiday in Germany, and the local audience loved his singing so much that they suggested he audition for The Voice in Germany. Although Joshua felt terrified before his TV appearance, he described the experience as amazing and exciting. He and his bandmates, all dressed in navy blue school uniforms, looked ready to impress the judges and the audience. Joshua has had a passion for singing since he was young. He explained, 'I really started singing when I had lessons and did concerts, Christmas carols, and open mics - I loved it. ' When he began singing on The Voice, he felt at ease and confident. So far, he has performed several songs by the talented artist Adele, whom he admires greatly. Joshua expressed his love for Adele's music, saying, 'I love Adele; she has brilliant songs. The power and emotions she puts into it, I love the story behind it as well. ' As he continues his journey on The Voice Kids, Joshua is hopeful about reaching the finals and sharing more of his musical talent with the world.
