She explained that DC London Pie had tried to rescue Pizza Hut's UK operations less than a year ago, but running a large casual dining business is challenging. Hewson believes that Yum! Brands' decision to take back control of the brand is smart, as the company has decades of experience and data about what makes a pizza restaurant successful.
