In typical Chinese weddings, the groom's family sends a motorcade to collect the bride. This tradition was recreated for the rabbit wedding, with six students riding miniature vehicles in a parade, watched by their peers. The 'bride' was collected from the boot of a teacher's car, and Laifu's cage was covered with a red veil to enhance the celebratory atmosphere. The school also created two red-covered marriage certificates for the pets, and the children made 'cash gifts' of banknotes they had drawn. The students were filmed clinking glasses and enjoying the wedding banquet. At the end of the ceremony, each child was given a small bag of happiness sweets, a tradition observed at human weddings.
