Lorde Lights Up Bristol with Her First-Ever Outdoor Summer Show!

Lorde, the popular singer from New Zealand, is set to perform in Bristol for the very first time this summer. She will be headlining a brand new outdoor concert called Forwards Presents, which will take place on Clifton Downs. Lorde is well known for her hit songs like Royals, Green Light, and Solar Power. She will be joined by other artists such as Djo, Audrey Hobert, Rose Gray, Esha Tewari, and Grove. The event is being organized by Tom Paine, who is one of the co-founders. He said that bringing Lorde to Bristol is the perfect way to start this new concert series and that it will be a very special night for the city.

Lorde, whose real name is Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor, is 29 years old. She first became famous in 2012 when she released her first extended play, The Love Club. Her single Royals was a huge success and won her two Grammy Awards in 2013. Her first album, Pure Heroine, was released the same year and was both a critical and commercial hit. Since then, Lorde has released more albums, including Melodrama in 2017, Solar Power in 2021, and Virgin in 2025. She is known for her unique voice and style, which have made her popular with fans all over the world.

The Forwards Presents concert will be held on August 28, just one day before the annual Forwards Festival returns to Bristol. The concert will start at 2:00 PM and finish at 11:00 PM, with the last entry allowed at 8:00 PM. Tickets for the event will go on pre-sale on Thursday at 10:00 AM, and the general sale will begin on Friday at the same time. Even though the concert is happening at the same location as the Forwards Festival, tickets for each event will be sold separately. The line-up and ticket details for the 2026 Forwards Festival have not been announced yet. This summer, Bristol will also host other big music events like Love Saves The Day, Bristol Sounds, Bristol Harbour Festival, and Ritual Union. Artists such as Rizzle Kicks, Sub Focus, and Sammy Virji will be performing at Love Saves The Day, while KEO will play at Ritual Union. Many more artists and line-ups are expected to be announced soon, making Bristol a great place for music fans this summer.
