Rhys Caldwell-Clarkson, an autistic artist from Malvern in Worcestershire, recently experienced a life-changing moment when he discovered that Sir Richard Branson, the founder of Virgin Group, had purchased one of his paintings. Rhys was diagnosed with autism at the age of eight and found working in retail to be overwhelming, which led him to start his own art business called Art on the Spectrum. He creates paintings inspired by the beautiful countryside around Worcestershire, often featuring landscapes and imaginative scenes like floating islands.

The story of Rhys's journey was first shared by the BBC, and it caught the attention of Sir Richard Branson, who has also spoken openly about his own struggles with dyslexia.
