Step Into Wonderland: Magical Alice Art Tour Hits Local Libraries!

A special art exhibition is taking place in the South of England, and it is all about the classic story Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The exhibition features 24 illustrations that were originally created by Sir John Tenniel for Lewis Carroll's famous books. These illustrations have been carefully reproduced so that people today can enjoy them. The exhibition is set up as a walk-through gallery, allowing visitors to see the artwork up close and learn more about the story and its characters.

The exhibition began at Sunninghill library, where the pictures are currently on display. However, this is not a permanent location. The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead has organized for the exhibition to travel to different libraries throughout the year. Each month, the collection will move to a new library, giving people in various towns the opportunity to experience the artwork. The final stops for the exhibition will be at Datchet and Eton Wick in December.

The council hopes that this exhibition will encourage more people to visit their local libraries and learn about classic literature. The illustrations include famous scenes from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, such as Alice holding a flamingo-like bird, the White Rabbit, and the Queen of Hearts. The exhibition schedule is as follows: April at Sunninghill, May at Maidenhead, June at Cox Green, July at Ascot Durning, August at Windsor, September at Cookham and Old Windsor, October at Boyne Grove and Wraysbury Container Library, November at Dedworth, and December at Datchet and Eton Wick. This traveling exhibition is a wonderful opportunity for people of all ages to connect with a beloved story and appreciate the art that helped bring it to life.
